FIELD: technology of wood-fibrous materials (ground-wood pulp, thermomechanical and chemico-thermal- mechanical mass, fiber boards), particular, dewatering of wood pulp. SUBSTANCE: wood pulp with high moisture content is subjected to treatment with a.c. with use of immersed electrodes from carbon-graphite or stainless steel or some other insoluble electrodes, preliminarily or directly in the process of filtering. Frequency of a.c. is industrial (50 ± 10 Hz). Volume current density, as the main treatment parameter, should be not less than 0.3 A.cu.dm. Voltage across electrodes may vary from 15 to 25 V and above depending on the location and sizes of electrodes and electric conductness of liquid phase. Current density on electrodes is not limited and also may vary within a wide range of its values. Limitation in the given case may be contamination of dry pulp mass with electrode mass due to electrode disintegration in excess of 0.5%. EFFECT: higher efficiency due to intensified dewatering process of wood pulp and its fluid-flow suspensions. |
