PURPOSE: To reduce the number of connection lines by connecting each information line of the time division multiplex system to each M12 section in common and sending DS3 data comprising information bits only from each M12 section to an M23 section via the same connection line with different timings. CONSTITUTION: A DS1→DS2 multiplexer section 102 of an M12 section 101 applies 4-multiplexing to DS1 data to generate DS2 data. A DS3 frame counter section 103 processes the DS data generated by the multiplexer section 102 with a data width of DS3 data based on a DS3 clock, a DS3 frame pulse and a DS3 destuff pulse from an M23 section 104. Furthermore, each M12 section 101 decides a timing of an output of the DS3 data from each M12 section 101 in response to a count of the counter 103 corresponding to SLOT-ID relating to a slot inserted in each M12 section 101 and a command given from a common back board. Thus, the data are processed by four connection lines.
