PURPOSE: To provide high rigidity, soft touch, and excellent appearance to a interior material, and also enable it to be recyclable and readily incinated by forming a thermoplastic material layer through overspreading skeleton lattice parts in one or both surfaces of a compression formed body obtained under heat by compression forming a base material comprising a fiber collective body that is collectively formed with organic fiber nonwoven fabric or organic fiber. CONSTITUTION: The fiber formed body has a thermoplastic resin layer 3 formed by covering skeleton lattice parts in one or both surfaces of a compression formed body 2 obtained by melting and then compression forming a base material 1 within the range of melting temperature of low melting fiber. For the base material 1, there may be used organic fiber nonwoven fabric of two or more layers, fiber collective body collectively formed with organic short fiber of two or more layers, or nonwoven fabric and fiber collective body of two or more layers. Thermoplastic material is applied on one or both surfaces of e.g. the base material 1 as emulsion or an organic solvent, after that, the base material is heat-compression formed after heating, thereby manufacturing a compression formed body 2, at the same time, forming a thermoplastic resin layer 3. |
