PURPOSE: To provide a swash plate type two-speed hydraulic motor capable of maintaining a stable stroke displacement by seating a swash plate back surface in the inner wall surface of a casing in a surface contact condition and preventing contact between the seating surface intersecting line of the swash plate and the inner wall surface during rotating in an inclined manner. CONSTITUTION: A positioning member 31 constitutes an inclined rotation center axial line O positioned below the inner wall surface of a casing 10 in the center of a sliding surface 31a having a fixed radius with the back surface side recess 22b of a swash plate 22. First and second seating surfaces 22c and 22d in the swash plate back side form an inclined rotational angleαbetween each other, these are selectively brought into contact with a casting inner wall surface 12a, and with the first seating surface 22c seated in the inner wall surface of the casing, the second seating surface 22d is caused to be a surface, in which in an X-Y coordinate formed by an inclined rotation center axial line as an original point, an Y axis in parallel with an output rotational axis and a T axis orthogonal to this, when a distance between the T axis and the inner wall surface of the casing is X1 , coordinate variables x and y are represented by y=-x/tanα-X1 /sinα.
