PURPOSE: To provide an electrical connector mounting structure both firmly fixed to a circuit board, and easy to manufacture by extending an insertion leg section and a contact surface leg section orthogonal therewith from an outer plate member fixed to a housing having an implanted contactor. CONSTITUTION: A connector 10 fitted with a shield plate 11 having a receptacle slot 12 with an implanted contactor 14, and another connector 20 with a recess 23 having a terminal board 24 with a contactor 25 implanted are coupled and connected to each other. Also, the electrical connector so formed is externally provided with an outer member 22 as a shield case. The member 22 is formed out of a blanked and bent metal plate, and secured to a housing 21 with screws via holes 27 and 31. Also, an insertion leg section 34 extended from the side and lower section thereof is inserted in the mounting hole of a circuit board (not shown herein), thereby mounting the connector 20 on the board. Furthermore, a contact surface leg section 35 is extended orthogonally from the section 34 for contact with the upper surface of the board. In this case, a slit 34A is preferably formed on one of the sections 34 and 35, and the other is made to pass through the slit 34A. |
