PURPOSE: To provide automatic narrow gap welding equipment capable of executing high precision follow-coping simultaneously at both sides of an annular fin with MIG welding torches of two each as well as precisely executing welding between narrow annular fins. CONSTITUTION: The equipment is provided with MIG welding torches 4 of two each facing each other at both sides of a fin 3 to be welded and inserted between narrow fins, a welding torch upper/lower slide 6 to hold a base of the MIG welding torch 4, a left/right copying slide 14 in which a welding torch upper/lower slide 6 is mounted through a positioning slide between welding torches, an upper/lower copying slide 19 in which the left/right slide 14 is mounted and a manipulator 36 in which an upper/lower copying slide 19 is mounted through an upper/lower positioning slide 26 and upper/lower slide 30. Further, the equipment is provided with a non-contact sensor 15 inserted between fins with the MIG welding torch 4, a guide roller 20 inserted in between neighboring fins to be welded and a camera 38 and an illuminating light 39 arranged in front of the MIG welding torch 4. |
