PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lower the NOx emitting material so as to improve the efficiency and output by using a multi-stage compressor having a specified pressure ratio so as to compress the inlet air, and supplying the nearly all compressed air to a combustion device so as to generate the gaseous combustion product, and supplying this gaseous combustion product to a turbine for discharge. SOLUTION: Air from a compressor 12' is discharged to several combustors 36 provided around a gas turbine rotor 14' in the circumferential direction. After the combustion, the gas obtained through the combustion is used so as to drive a turbine 20'. The turbine 20' has hour wheels 38, 40, 42, 44, and these are set on a gas turbine rotor 14', and each wheel includes buckets or vanes 54, 56, 58, 60. As an operation parameter, instead of raising the exhaust temperature of the turbine, a higher pressure ratio of the compressor, namely, the pressure ratio at about 23:1 is selected so as to restrict the temperature effect, and the NOx emitting material is reduced so as to improve the efficiency and the output.
