In the blade row (22) each diffuser blade (1) consists of a blade leaf (3) fixed by its foot (5) in a flow casing (6). The leaf tip is terminated by a cover plate (7), sealing against the turbine rotor. The blade foot and/or the cover plate each contains one or more inlet ports (17,20) for suction ducts (16,19) on the leaf facing side in the region of 10 to 50 % of its longitudinal extent, with the suction ducts ending in one or more outlet ports (18,21) on the outflow side of the blade.
