SPECTACLES FRAME WITH A RESILIENT HINGE

A resilient hinge including a male frame knuckle (12) and a male side-arm knuckle (22) rotatably interconnected by a pin (30). The contact surface of one of the knuckles has a diametrically extending projection (24) with sloping sides for engaging a cross-shaped recess (18/19) in the other knuckle, which recess defines the open and closed positions of the side arm. The knuckles may be moved apart along the connecting pin counter to a resilient means (40, 42, 44).
