<p>PURPOSE: To obtain a ferrite carrier without a harmful metal-free compsn., excellent in image characteristics and having a long service life. CONSTITUTION: This ferrite carrier is spherical particles having a compsn. contg. 0.01-0.2wt.% V2 O5 and Bi2 O3 in the compsn. of cubic single ferrite represented by Me0.5 Fe2.5 O4 (Me is a monovalent metal) or composite ferrite obtd. by substituting Mn for part of the Me or Fe, e.g. compsn. consisting of 4-30mol% LiO as MeO, <=50mol% MnO and 50-95mol% Fe2 O3 and having >=40emu/g saturation magnetization, >=10<3>Ω.cm resistivity and 20-150μm average particle diameter.</p> |
