<p>PURPOSE: To provide a liquid crystal display device with which there is no need for forming contact holes in insulating films, production process is simple, the degradation in production yield is averted, the countermeasure against static electricity is possible, a cost is low and reliability is high. CONSTITUTION: This liquid crystal display device is provided with plural image signal wirings 21 and plural scanning signal wirings 22 via the insulating films and is provided with pixel electrodes 24 and switching elements 23 for controlling the supply of image signals to these pixel electrodes 24 in the intersected parts of these image signal wirings 21 and the scanning signal wirings 22. The liquid crystal display device is provided with display regions holding liquid crystal materials between the pixel electrodes 24 and counter electrodes disposed to face the pixel electrodes 24. The device is provided with shorting wirings 27a for the scanning signal wirings for the purpose of discharging the static electricity of the plural scanning signal wirings 22 via the insulating films off the display regions and shorting wirings 27b for the image signal wirings for the purpose of discharging the static electricity of the plural image signal wirings 23 in lamination. These shorting wirings 27a for the scanning signal wirings and shorting wirings 27b for the image signal wirings in the laminated parts are at least partly exposed.</p> |
