The plastic ground cover sheet for cotton 1 is made from plastic material manufactured by a process of extrusion from a circular (BLOWN FILM) or flat (CAST FILM) mould. During the manufacturing process openings 2 are created in the plastic film of any shape (round, oval, square, rhomboid etc.) which, in conjunction with the great strength and elasticity of the plastic sheet, act as ventilation holes for the area covered and as openings for the absorption of rain water from the surface to the drill of seed. The plastic ground cover sheet solves the problems of conventional methods of ground cover for cotton with simple plastic sheets which are due to the absence of openings in them or to the random and wholly unsuitable size of the holes made when they are put in position. |
