<p>The instrument includes an approximately semi-circular traction member (1) which is introduced into the abdominal cavity. It has a suspension ring (2) at one end which may be attached to an eyelet at the end of a lever arm (3). The opposite end of the lever arm has a similar attachment point for a counterweight (4). The traction member is formed of metal wire bent to define a semi-circular or other blunt shape at one end. There is an L-shaped portion at the other end whose free end is curved to form the suspension ring. The angle of the L-shaped portion is located at the centre of the semi-circle. The upright portion of the L inclined at approximately 75[deg] to the plane of the semi-circular portion of the member.</p> |
