SOLUTION: A charger for charging the battery 11 of an electric vehicle 10 is equipped with a temperature detection means 11a, which detects the inside temperature of the battery 11, and control means 14 and 24 which have charging inhibition temperatures and charging start permission temperatures lower than them and begin charging in the case that the detection temperature of the temperature detection means 11a is not more than the charging start permission temperature and stop charging in the case that the detection temperature of the temperature detection means 11 gets over the charging inhibition temperature after the start of charging. |
