摘要 Measuring small amt. of oxygen in gas is w.r.t. intensity of light generated when yellow phosphor vapour reacts with oxygen in sample gas. Together with sample gas, fixed amt. of oxygen is continuously fed to reaction chamber and reacted with yellow phosphor vapour so intensity of light generated by reaction is measured. Density of oxygen in gas is found from difference between value of measured intensity of light and that of intensity of light generated on reaction of yellow phosphor vapour with added oxygen or from the difference between oxygen density obtd. from measured value and that of added oxygen. Addn. of fixed amt. of oxygen is performed in process so pre-conditioned oxygen-contg. gas is fed with fixed amt. of sample gas, or oxygen in atmos. is adapted to permeate oxygen permeable film in sample gas or in yellow phosphor vapour-feeding system. Small amt. of oxygen under several ppb in sample gas can continuously be measured at high precision. @(34pp)
