<p>A stepless transmission system (10) with a powering input shaft (15) drivingly connected to a first sun gear (20), the first sun gear (20) surrounded by a first planet gear carrier (22) containing a number of planet gears disposed in a peripheral segment (26) thereof so as to drivingly engage the first sun gear (20), and a first ring gear (30) disposed about the first planet gear carrier (22) so as to engage the first set of planet gears along an interior drive surface (31) of the first ring gear (30) such that regulated movement of the first ring gear (30) controls movement of the first planet gear carrier (22) that results from rotation of the input shaft (15) and accordingly first sun gear (20).</p> |
