PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the effect of inhibiting molecule ions by enhancing resolving power and to efficiently analyze a metal element in an aq. soln. sample by fixing a double convergence type mass analyser to a specific mass number and measuring the detection signal introduced by a heating evaporation method. SOLUTION: The signals of an element to be analyzed and inhibiting molecule ions are resolved by enhancing mass resolving capacity using a double convergence type mass analyser. In this case, the mass resolving power required in separation is different corresponding to the matrix of the element to be analyzed and a sample soln. In such a state that the mass resolving capacity is enhanced, a measured mass number is fixed to the mass number of the element to be analyzed. By measuring the detection signal of the fixed mass number, the signal only of the element to be analyzed can be obtained without preventing scanning taking time and receiving the inhibition of molecule ions. In this state, a sample is introduced by a heating evaporation method and the temporary detection signal from the sample is measured. |
