PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a semi-rigid polyurethane foam having excellent moldability and fluidity, etc., by using a nitrite of an odorless alkaline (earth) metal of a non-migration type in a polyurethane resin and having excellent moldability and fluidity as a catalyst. SOLUTION: (A) Polyol is reacted with (B) polyisocyanate using (C) a nitrite of an alkaline (earth) metal as a catalyst and in the presence of (D) a foaming agent, and (E) an other auxiliary, as necessary, to obtain (F) a polyurethane of a semi-rigid foam shape. Preferably, the component C is further combinedly used with an amine catalyst. As the nitrite of the alkaline (earth) metal of the component C, potassium nitrite or sodium nitrite is especially preferable. The amount of the component C is preferably 0.01-10 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. of the component A. The resultant component F has a shape of covering or fringing material together with other materials such as a vinyl chloride resin or an ABS resin and can be made to a product by combination or molding in one body. |
