FUNCTION EXTENDING CARD FOR PERSONAL COMPUTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a card having high operability at the time of loading it on a personal computer(PC) and capable of preventing the generation of communication abnormality after initializing it on a function extending board on which an optional board is loaded by providing the PC with a power supply control circuit for supplying power from the PC to a prescribed block. SOLUTION: The PC 10 is provided with the power supply control circuit 100A for inputting an output from a power supply circuit 10A in the PC 10 and an output from a power supply circuit 20A in an external device 20 and supplying the output from the circuit 10A to a 2nd block 102 based upon an instruction from an MPU 10B built in the PC 10. In the constitution, a 1st block 101 always receives power supply from the circuit 10A. When the instruction is outputted from the MPU 10B, power from the circuit 10A is supplied also to the 2nd block 102.
