CAP STRIPPING DEVICE OF NAS BATTERY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically strip caps of a large quantity of used NaS batteries. SOLUTION: A hollow chuck 3 of an NaS battery W, a cutting tool to cut off the cap outer periphery of the NaS battery and a stripping claw to strip a cap, are arranged on the side of a conveyor 1 to convey the NaS battery W in a horizontally falling-down posture. A transfer mechanism such as cylinders 7 and 8 is arranged between the conveyor 1 and the hollow chuck 3. It is desirable to prevent sticking of chips to the conveyor 1 by arranging an openable-closable shielding plate 6 between the conveyor 1 and the hollow chuck 3.
