<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of line-like defect caused by the breaking of a wire and to provide a structure easy to make a pixel high numerical aperture ratio. SOLUTION: An auxiliary lines 5... are provided on the lower side of pixel electrodes 4... so as to be in parallel with data lines 2.... The auxiliary line 5 is connected to the data line 2 on one place for every pixel. When the breaking defect occurs in the data line 2, the application of voltage on the data line 2 is kept by taking a detour around the breaking place by means of the auxiliary line 5. When the leakage defect is caused in an intersecting part between a gate line 1 and the data line 2, the data line 2 is cut off on both sides of the gate line 1. Even by this cutting, the application of voltage on the data line 2 is kept by means of the auxiliary line 5. Moreover, by forming the width of the auxiliary line 5 narrower than that of the data line 2, the reduction of numerical aperture is suppressed. When the auxiliary line 5 is formed with a transparent conductive body (ITO, etc.) the numerical aperture is not reduced by the auxiliary line 5.</p> |
