The proposal is for a liquid filter (10) with an incorporated pressure regulator (11) for fuel in which the pressure regulator (11) with its diaphragm (41) is installed inside a facing component (18) with at least one connection (19) on the housing (12). The disc-shaped diaphragm (41) has a single clamping point (39) at its outer periphery and a central movable closing member (42). Pressure in a pressure chamber (45) coupled to the clean side is applied to the diaphragm (41) against the force of a spring (49) in a gas-filled spring chamber (48). The integration of the pressure regulator (11) into the housing (12) results in a simple, compact and economical design of the liquid filter (10), in which only purified fuel flows through the valve (44) in the pressure regulator (11) and which is insensitive to back-pressure in the tank connection (17).
