PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the optical axis misalignment which occurs in case of curing and shrinking and to make the production of low-loss optical parts possible by irradiating UV curing resins with UV rays through optical fibers, thereby curing these resins. SOLUTION: A V-groove block 2 for incidence and a V-groove block 3 for exit are arranged in proximity to both flanks of a glass waveguide 1. The UV resins 4, 5 as adhesive materials are poured into the spacing between this glass waveguide 1 and the V-groove block 2 for incidence and in the spacing between the glass waveguide 1 and the V-groove block 3 for exit. After the packing of the UV resins 4, 5 ends, UV lamps 9, 11 are lighted to irradiate the parts of the UV resins 4, 5 with the UV light for the prescribed time (for example, 5 minutes) to initiate the curing of the resins. The uniform irradiation of the UV resins 4, 5 with the UV rays is made possible by the irradiation with the UV light through the respective optical fibers 7-1 to 7-8 . Then, the optical axis misalignment of the V-groove block 2 for incidence and the V- groove block 3 for exit is lessened and the low-loss optical parts are obtd. |
