Suspension for fork-lift type pallet truck

The pallet truck has a fixed support wheel, or roller, under each fork support and a pair of steerable wheels at the control end of the truck. One of the steerable wheels is powered and both wheels (1,2) are fitted to a common support frame (3). This support frame has a tilt action about the longitudinal axis (5) of the truck. The tilt action is blocked when the forks are lifted. The hydraulic ram (11) of the hoist is linked to a control valve (9) which connects the smaller hydraulic rams (7,7a) which release or block the tilt action. When the main hoist is activated the valve blocks the connection between the blocking rams and effectively blocks the tilt action. A control unit is specifically provided to generate an electric signal to effect the blocking action via the valve.
