FIELD: titanium metallurgy, method is used production of titanium alloys plates and sheets. SUBSTANCE: aim is to decrease labour consumption and to increase cutting tools durability in process of working by planing or cutting of main planes of slab till full removal of hard and strong gas-saturated surface layer. Aim is realized due to the fact, that on worked plane from butt side in zone of cutting tool pass during longitudinal planing hard and strong gas-saturated surface layer is removed by preliminary working in transverse direction with formation of shoulder, depth of which exceeds thickness of layer removed from slab plane surface. Then plane working is exercised in longitudinal direction. EFFECT: decreased labour consumption and increased cutting tools durability. 1 cl, 2 dwg |
