Folding protective cover, for guide tracks on machines

The folding cover is especially a bellows or skirt, and is used to protect a slide or guide track on a machine. It has a flexible bellows (1') and slats (3) which are arranged on the top or sides in order to cover it when extended or retracted. The slats have regions of their longitudinal sides which clamp around bulges which are arranged on the outer folds of the bellows. The bulges are formed by pins (4) which extend at least partly along the outer folds of the bellows, and by the bellows regions which at least partly surround them. The pins lie in loops (1',1'a) which are formed by inserting the pins into the clamping regions of the longitudinal sides, and which open towards the inside of the bellows.
