The invention relates to a steering column switch with a switching device at the end of the switch lever (22). It is the aim of the invention to provide an economical and reliable connection between the switching device and contacts in the steering column switch housing. The aim is achieved by the use of a flexible conductive foil (1). In an embodiment of the invention, said foil is not taken through the hollow inner space of the switch lever. Instead, the switch lever is in two parts (41, 42) between which the flexible conductive foil (1) is introduced. In advantageous embodiments, the contacts (6) of the conductive foil are used directly as fixed switch contacts, the switch lever (22) is made by the internal gas pressure method and the foil contact are reinforced by contact plates.
