PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically continuously perform tunnel boring and segment assembling in the tunnel while an existing underground pipe in the ground is demolished. SOLUTION: A rotary cutter disc 3 which is provided on the front of a shield machine main body 1 having a cylidrical section and has an entering hole 2 for an existing underground pipe 4 in the central part is rotated to dig the periphery of the existing underground pipe 4. Simultaneously, the base end of the existing underground pipe 4 entering through the entering hole 2 is broken in the central part of the shield machine main body 1 by the rotation of a central disc cutter 5 provided in the rear of the existing underground pipe entering hole 2, and with the supply and discharge of muddy water to and from the base end part of the underground pipe, the above broken materials are discharged to the outside with the muddy water. In the tail part of the shield machine main body 1, corresponding to the development of assembling a segment ring, the shield machine main body is advanced. |
