In a suction cleaning system for a textile machine, to extract waste material, a centrifugal separator (9) is linked to the shrouding mantle (8) at the air exhaust side of the filter (5). It has a dust separation channel (10) with a curved outer wall (11) to deflect the exhaust air, extending to an outlet cross-section (14) of the channel. A part of the outlet cross-section (14) forming the outer wall (11) coincides with the entry cross-section (15) of the return channel (16) opening into the suction tube (3).
