The one contact rotary switch of a microwave oven is controlled by means of a dial knob and has a simple construction and a convenient assembling process. The one contact rotary switch forms a hollow supporting pipe(5) into which a shaft inserted reentrant(1d) of a lower contact part(1), a shaft hole(2a) of an upper contact part(2), a shaft hole(3a) of a rotary limiting part(3), and a shaft hole(4c) of a cap(4) are inserted and secured, and having a hollow portion(5a) into which an adjusting shaft bar(6) is passed and coupled by means of an elastic spring(7). Contacts(1a',1b'), which are connected with terminals(1a, 1b), are formed on the peripheral surface of the bottom surface of the lower contact part(1). A plurality of locking protrusions(1e) are formed between the contacts(1a',1b'), and the shaft inserted reentrant(1d) is formed on the center of the lower contact part(1).
