PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a fluctuation amount even when a force in an inclination axis direction is exerted on a trunnion due to a fluctuation in torque and to hold a given change gear ratio. SOLUTION: When an accelerator pedal is rapidly pedaled, a further higher up force F1 is exerted on one trunnion 7 of a toroidal type continuously variable transmission. Thereby, the trunnion 7 is about to displace into an up state, an oil pressure in a cylinder chamber 13a on the boosting side is pushed out to a PL port through a spool valve 14, and is about to be pushed out to a line pressure circuit. However, since a check valve 22 is located in the middle of a line 21 to feed an oil pressure through which an oil pressure is fed from an oil pressure source to the spool valve 14, an oil pressure in the cylinder chamber 13a is prevented from reversing to the line pressure circuit, the trunnion 7 can not be displaced into an up state and a given change gear ratio is maintained. |
