PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the current consumption of a single-phase induction motor and automatically carry out the start of a card type textile doffing blade mechanism therein using the single-phase induction motor. SOLUTION: This oscillating mechanism such as a card type textile doffing blade mechanism for textile machinery comprises a shaft 2 elastically pressed toward an equilibrium position of the central angle to which an oscillating member 1 is attached and a single-phase induction motor 3 having a rotor thereof, combined with the shaft 2 and capable of maintaining the oscillating state of the shaft 2. An AC driving signal 7 regulated to the vicinity of the natural oscillation frequency of the mechanism is fed to a stator of the single- phase induction motor 3. In more detail, the frequency of the driving signal 7 of the stator is set so as to be present within the frequency range of [(f)-0.8Hz] to [(f)+0.1Hz]} [(f) is the natural frequency of the oscillation of the mechanism]. The frequency is preferably set with a tolerance of±(1/10)Hz. The oscillating mechanism can be applied to the card type textile doffing blade mechanism used in the textile industry.
