The valve has a cut-off component (2) in a housing (1) arranged in the pipeline path. A support is fixed on the housing at an angle to its longitudinal axis. The support is accessible from the outside. A release mechanism, having a temperature probe, is held in the support and is flexibly connected to the cut-off component and provided with a temperature probe. The release component holds the cut-off component in the open position at room temperature against the effect of a pressure spring (36). Between a plate (24) of the cut-off component and a rib ring (21) provided in a recess (15) of the housing a pressure spring (25) is provided, the spring force of which is less than that of the pressure spring of the release mechanism. The cut-off component and the release mechanism are joined to each other by a chain (4).
