PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage treatment apparatus treating garbage at a high speed in high decomposition ratio to enable the continuous treatment thereof and capable of being miniaturized while reducing the amt. of a treated product. SOLUTION: In a garbage treatment apparatus treating garbage charged in a treatment tank with aerobic bacteria, an air supply means supplying oxygen-containing air is arranged to the bottom part of the treatment tank 22 and air, pref., heated air is supplied into the treatment tank 22 from the bottom part of the treatment tank 22 by the air supply means. Pref., the treatment tank 22 has two horizontal rotary shafts 34a, 34b and the bottom part thereof has an almostω-shape wherein two curved surfaces 44a, 44b formed into a circular arc cross-sectional shape centering around the respective rotary shafts 34a, 34b to extend in an axial direction are made adjacent to each other and a top part 46 is formed at the overlapped part thereof in an axial direction and the air supply ports of the air supply means are arranged to the curved surfaces 44a, 44b.
