<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the unevenness of oil coating quantity of an oil coating roll having a surface layer consisting of porous polytetrafluoroethylene and the reduction of the oil coating quantity thereof caused by the clogging of toner, and to prevent an image from being soiled. SOLUTION: This oil coating roll is provided with an oil holding body 2 on a roll substrate 1 and a porous fluororesin surface layer whose maximum hole diameter is <=0.1μm, whose air permeability is set within the range of 500-6000 seconds/100cc and whose surface roughness is <=Ra0.5μm. Besides, it is manufactured by attaching a porous fluororesin cylindrical body whose maximum hole diameter is <=0.1μm, whose air hole coefficient is 20-50%, whose air permeability is within the range of 500-4000 seconds/100cc and whose surface roughness is <=Ra0.5μm to a roll body provided with the oil holding body 2, heating it, making the end part thereof contract 30% or more and forming the end surface.</p> |
