PURPOSE: To operate a torque detection device with less power consumption and to improve the reliability for detecting torque. CONSTITUTION: A first wheel 2 which is rotated by external rotary force is provided at a frame, a rotary center part 8 of a second wheel W for transferring the rotary force from an outer-periphery part 18 to the outside is connected to a rotary center part 4 of the first wheel 2, and the rotary center part 8 and the outer-periphery part 18 of the second wheel W are elastically connected so that they can be relatively displaced in rotary direction according to the rotary force. Parts 23 and 24 to be detected consisting of a material whose magnetic property differs from that of the other parts of the outer-periphery part are provided at the outer-periphery part of the first wheel 2 and the second wheel 18 and a means for detecting a part to be detected is provided at the frame. |
