Extrusion for window frame and door frame

The inner frame (1) and the outer frame (2) are linked by thermal insulation strips (3,4) forming a hollow space (9) between the frames. The space is filled by a rigid insert (5) which has an open profile in one direction and a closed profile in the other direction. The insert runs the whole length of the frame. The insert can be V-shaped or W-shaped and is coated with thermal insulation. The outer edges of the insert are clipped into the edges of the thermal insulation strips with a set amount of compression to hold the insert. No separate fasteners are required.
