The switch has a first metal plate (1) with a fixed contact (6), a second metal plate (2) with a movable domed contact (4) on the leading end of a bridge section (7) and a housing (3) . The plates are formed in a shaped part so that the movable contact protrudes. The housing has an opening (3a) for the fixed contact with stop walls (3c) around the opening. The movable contact is curved to cover the opening and the peripheral edge region of the movable contact is reliably retained by the stop walls. Several stop walls are arranged concentrically around the opening with a gap (3d) between adjacent walls to relieve non-uniform compression effects arising during the latching process.
