the break glass security system has an alarm (5) mounted behind a glass protection screen (6). There is a striker (19) on an arm (20) to break the glass. The arm is made in two sections, with the front arm mounted on a spring (16b) which is in turn in a rear holder section (13). The moving parts are pulled apart from each other as the arm is moved back, and the extra force of the spring is then available to smash the glass as it comes down.
