A one-piece polyester swimming pool liner can have its base reinforced by incorporating a panel of Klegecel (RTM) during manufacture, sandwiching it between several layers of fibres and resin. The reinforced base projects some 20-30 cm from the outside of the liner, allowing it to be stabilised with a covering of gravel (30) when the liner is fitted. Side reinforcing ribs can also be fitted between the base projection and the top of the liner.
