<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color image inspection device which can make clear inconsistent positions among a proof print (reference), an original film corrected in accordance with the proof print, a printing plate and a proof print, so as to facilitate the inspection in a wide range including errors caused during steps from preparation of the original film to completion of printing. SOLUTION: A difference between an original print PS1 as a reference and a reprint PS2 is calculated so as to extract inconsistent positions (a mark M2 and a character C4) between the original print PS1 and the reprint PS2, and minimum positions and maximum positions on imaginary frames surrounding the inconsistent position are obtained. Thus, frames FR1, FR2 indicating the inconsistent positions in accordance with thus obtained minimum and maximum positions are depicted on a translucent tracing paper sheet (output sheet) TP by a monochromatic printer.</p> |
