Natural antioxidant from coffee beans

Use of coffee beans, especially untreated, dried coffee beans, is claimed for obtaining an antioxidant. Also claimed is a process for obtaining a natural antioxidant (A) by a) milling and allowing the milled beans to steep; b) extraction with solvent; c) separation of the solvent extract from unwanted coffee components; d) addition of a binder to withdraw foreign and unwanted material from the extract; and e) separation of the binder (with the foreign material) from the extract. The antioxidant (A) is also claimed.
