A drive arrangement for track-bound vehicles driven by linear motors with windings which are capable of being switched on or off and which are positioned on either side of the track. Several track windings sequentially arranged in the track are connected to a common drive unit (AA2) via system cables allocated to both sides of the track in the regions outside the stopping points and the switch-point tongues obliquely converging from the transfer points. The track windings within the given regions are separately joined to different drive units (AA1,AA2,AA3) for both sides of the track.
