PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To conduct a multi-valued control on a quantity of ink discharge by applying a plurality of various driving voltages to piezoelectric oscillators with a simple structure. SOLUTION: In order to conduct a multi-valued control on a quantity of ink discharge, the apparatus includes an ink jet recording head using a plurality of piezoelectric oscillators 4, 4, 4..., a driving signal generating circuit 1 for generating trapezoidal driving signals 3 in synchronization with timing signals, and switching means 11, 11, 11... for selectively applying a part or the whole of the driving signals 3 to the piezoelectric oscillators 4, 4, 4... in accordance with multi-valued printing signals 7. |
