PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a safe interface mechanism wherein alignment is automatically performed at a time of replacement. SOLUTION: A needle 38 is provided in the cavity 70 of a needle holding structure 52 and the end of a tower is sealed by a partition wall 68. The needle 38 pierces the partition wall 68 to be inserted into the cavity 70 of the tower. The cavity 70 is equipped with an opening smaller than the size of a finger to prevent that the needle is touched by mistake. The tower is attached to a replaceable element such as an ink storage container or a pen and, even if the relative position of the tower is changed, a floating bushing assembly 50 loosely holds the needle holding structure 52 to be restricted but connection is compensated by imparting the moving degree of freedom. This movement may be parallel movement or rotary movement or both of them. |
