PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To evade display images from being turned to a painted-out state by the hand shakes of an operator holding an ultrasonic probe and the body movement of a patient. SOLUTION: A level monitoring part 6 outputs frame cancellation signals U when sections where the level of sound ray signals sn exceeds a level threshold value are more than a section threshold value. A frame memory part 5 outputs appropriate weight coefficientsαandβ(for instance,α=0.7 andβ=0.3) respectively to multiplication parts 7 and 8 when the frame cancellation signals U are not inputted and outputs the weight coefficients '0' and '1' respectively to the multiplication parts 7 and 8 when the frame cancellation signals U are inputted. The multipliers 7 and 8 and an adder 9 load-add color flow images fn and fn-1 by the weight coefficientsαandβor '0' and '1', prepare interpolation color flow images Fn and deliver them to a DSC 10. Thus, the interpolation color flow images Fn to which the color flow image fn of a frame to be the cause of the painted-out state is not added are obtained at all times.
