<p>A novel process for preparing fluoromethyl 1,1,1,3,3,3-hexafluoroisopropyl ether, which comprises bringing a polyether represented by the following general formula (1): R1O(CH2O)nR2 into contact with hydrogen fluoride and a medium comprising a reaction accelerator (wherein R?1 and R2¿ are each independently hydrogen, C¿1?-C10 alkyl or haloalkyl (wherein the halogen is fluorine, chlorine or bromine); and n is an integer of 1 to 10, with the proviso that both R?1 and R2¿ do not represent hydrogen at the same time).</p> |
