PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easily handleable excellent sustained release aromatic agent. SOLUTION: This agent is prepared by coating liquid drops a perfume with an ultramicroparticulate hydrophobic silicon oxide powder. If necessary, the ultramicroparticulate hydrophobic silicon oxide powder is the one having a mean primary particle diameter of 0.007-0.05μm, and prepared by coating ultramicroparticulate silicon oxide powder obtained by oxidizing a silicon halide in a vapor phase with at least one member selected from among organosilicon compounds, organofluorine compounds and organotitanium compounds. The organosilicon compound is a silane coupling agent, and the organofluorine compound is a silane coupling agent having an organofluoro group, and the organotitanium compound is a titanium coupling agent.
