PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to rapidly package a filter into a groove formed on an optical waveguide element in such a manner that the filter plane is held perpendicular to the optical axis of the optical waveguide or attains a specific angle therewith. SOLUTION: This apparatus for the production is composed of an optical waveguide element holding stage which holds the optical waveguide element 1, a filter holding hand 11 which holds the filter, a groove position measuring instrument 16 which measures the position of the groove 5 disposed on the optical waveguide element 1 and a filter plane measuring instrument 15 which measures the inclination of the plane of the filter. In such a case, the filter insertion type optical waveguide is obtd. by measuring the inclination of the filter plane with the filter plane measuring instrument 15, then correcting the inclination of the filter plane and inserting and fixing the filter into the groove 5 on the optical waveguide element 1 detected by the groove position measuring instrument 16. |
