PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector in which contact force of contacts at the time of engagement can be securely obtained. SOLUTION: A connector is composed of a housing 10 formed to receive a plug connector 2 in an engagement space surrounded by plates of side walls 12, 13 to be engaged, and plural receptacle contacts 19 held by this housing 10. This receptacle contact 29 is composed to have a contact part 19a, a holding part 19b, and a connection part 19c, and the contact part 19a is formed to be extended vertically along an inner surface of the side wall part 12, 13 to get in contact with a plug contact 29 of the plug connector 2 engaged in the engagement space 16. The holding part 19b is formed to be extended in the same direction as the contact part 19a along an outer surface of the side wall part 12, 13, and the contact part 19a and the holding part 19b are connected to each other by a connection part 19c. |
